The Palace Collection Manager serves several purposes.

First and foremost, it provides a backend interface for the mobile & web catalog applications.

It provides

• a list of libraries users can access,
• a catalog of a libraries integrated collections,
• an interface to login to a library ILS or Shibboleth service and gain authorization to access a collection ,
• a consolidated bookshelf of content the user has borrowed, and
• facilities for the app to mark last reading location and synch those locations between devices.

Last but not least, the Palace Collection Manager provides an integration layer to various eBook & Audio-book services and collections as well as ILS or Shibboleth integration layer for authentication and authorization to content.

There is a web based Admin UI that is intended for Library Collection Administrators and System Administrators.
