About
The Palace Project aims to enable public libraries in their mission to provide equitable access to digital content, while enhancing the direct relationship between library and patron.
At the heart of the Palace Project is the belief that the public library is the digital center of knowledge and creativity for their community. By creating a seamless, easy-to-use system including a platform, content marketplace, and mobile app, The Palace Project lets libraries engage directly with their patrons to improve, enhance, and expand their access to digital resources.
We offer:
- The Palace app available on iOS and Android phones and tablets
- Palace Collection Manager backend software which allows for seamless integration of content collections from multiple vendors
- Usage data, Inventory reports, and Holds Reports
- Automatic inclusion of the Palace Bookshelf collection of open content and classics for all libraries configured in Palace
- The Palace Marketplace, a nonprofit marketplace that offers content for sale with many unique and favorable licensing terms for libraries
- A Virtual Library Card Option for libraries that are either unautomated or have an ILS that currently does not integrate with the Palace Collection Manager backend software
