What is a list? A list is a curated collection of titles selected and added together from the Lists tab in the Palace Collection Manager. Lists are the building blocks for lanes—a list must be created before creating a lane!
What is a lane? Lanes appear in the Catalog of the Palace app and the Palace Collection Manager and are populated automatically with materials from your configured content collections. Lanes serve as browsable carousels to highlight content from your collection to your users. The lanes in the Collection Manager will mirror the lanes displayed in the app for your library.

When your library is initially configured, the default Lists and Lanes are automatically prepopulated with content from the collections configured for your library. Out of the box, libraries will have six lanes configured as well as a number of sublanes. The top-level lanes include Fiction, Nonfiction, Young Adult Fiction, Young Adult Nonfiction, Children and Middle Grade, and World Languages. Click into each default top-level lane to view sublanes.
Library administrators may create their own custom lists and lanes in the Palace Collection Manager.
